How to capture the spirit of

Mozart

on four walls?

In close collaboration with the SAE Institue Vienna we began the design process by mapping out ideas about Mozart’s publicly perceived personality and setting them in relation to the guiding keywords “music”, “visuals” and “vibe”.

Based on the resulting mind map we defined the colour palette to transport our concept:

A combination of brilliant red & opulent gold to comment on the alleged splendour of the era of Viennese Classicism.

Pattern

We decided on using a repeating ornament to create the look of rich tapestries complementing it with an extravagant gold finish on selected walls.

ROOM facts "NEVE STUDIO"

  • Recording studio with an extensive analogue sound mixer and a large adjoining recording space.
  • The focus is on working with the analogue Neve console and the usage of analogue and digital outboard equipment for sound editing and sound design.
  • Several pairs of speakers offer opportunities for different purposes.
  • The vintage flair is reinforced by rare (or coveted) equipment from the past as well as the availability of an analogue tape machine.
